9/28/2015 (La Porte, IN) - The Rotary Club of La Porte is partnering with several La Porte City locations to support the Bundle Up La Porte winter clothing drive this season, hoping to help everyone in the community have a warmer winter. The Rotary drop-off locations in La Porte are:
- IU Health La Porte Hospital, 1007 Lincolnway
- La Porte High School, 602 F Street
- The La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street
- Maslow's Coffee Shop, 150 Legacy Plaza West
- Spire Farm to Fork Cuisine, 299 West Johnson Road
- Suds on State Laundromat, 600 Clay Street
"Right about now is when people are going through closets to dig out their winter wear, and inevitably, you find those few items that are in great condition but just don't fit you or your kids anymore. Donating them to Bundle Up La Porte is a great way to make good use of these items and serve the community at the same time," said Mitch Feikes, president of the Rotary Club of La Porte. "We at Rotary are happy to rally around this effort to help keep our community members warm and safe in the upcoming colder months."
The donation boxes will be in place until about Oct. 14. Collected items will be distributed to the community at the First Church of God from 8-11 a.m., Oct. 17, and the Pax Center from 5-7 p.m., Nov. 3.
